In execution of Article 60 of the Presidential Election Act, the people of Iran are hereby informed that, in Persian alphabetical order, the names of the candidates for the Presidential Election of the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose qualifications have been approved by the Guardian Council, are as follows:
🔴 Masoud Pezeshkian, son of Mohammad Ali
🔴 Mostafa Pourmohammadi, son of Hossein
🔴 Saeed Jalili, son of Mohammad Hassan
🔴 Alireza Zakani, son of Hossein
🔴 Amirhossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, son of Seyyed Hassan
🔴 Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, son of Hossein
On the strength of Article 66 of the aforementioned Act, the election campaign activities of the presidential candidates listed hereinabove will officially commence on the date their names are announced (June 9, 2024) by the Ministry of Interior and will end 24 hours before the start of voting, which is at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

To facilitate voting for fellow Iranian compatriots residing in the United States and Canada, consultations are underway regarding the establishment of polling stations and the feasibility of absentee and postal voting. Distinguished fellow compatriots may follow the latest official news regarding the election through the website of the Interests Section of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Washington at www.daftar.org and its Telegram channel at @daftarorg.
Voter Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must hold citizenship of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
2. Must be at least 18 years old – born on or before June 29, 2006.
Voting Time:
Voting will take place on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
